House Democrats Shield Fcc Censorship Documents From Public

WASHINGTON, D.C. -  In today’s Energy and Commerce full committee markup, Committee Democrats struck down a resolution of inquiry offered by Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) that would have required the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to disclose any attempts at political censorship.

H.Res.1264 comes after more than a dozen confirmed attempts from Washington Democrats since 2021 to infringe on the First Amendment right to free speech by advocating for and participating in censorship of private companies, under the guise of fighting “disinformation.”
