Hull Lifesaving Museum : Head of the Weir - Last Call for Food Donations

Arts and Entertainment

October 5, 2022

From: Hull Lifesaving Museum

We need you!  Are you a secret soup specialist? Brilliant bread baker or master sandwich maker? Not a chef but would like to bring some goodies (chips, granola bars, etc.)? If so, we need your help feeding hungry rowers and spectators at the Head of the Weir!

This year the Nantasket-Hull Rotary is coordinating the food donations. Please RSVP as soon as possible to let us know if you will be making a food donation, what you'll be bringing, and the quantity so we can plan accordingly.

What we need:

-Soup, chowder, or chili (minimum donation enough to fill a crockpot: 8 quarts, please drop off in large ziplock baggies)

-Bread/rolls

-Sandwiches (sandwiches must be individually wrapped)

-Snacks (fruit, snack bars, chips and cookies)

Let us know as soon as possible if you plan on bringing a food donation, what you will be bringing and how much so we can plan accordingly. Once we know how much food is being donated, we will be able to plan what will need to be purchased. Our goal is to have enough to feed everyone without having to purchase extra food that goes to waste.

Cooking not your thing?

If you have a few hours to give and want to lend a hand on race day we're looking for volunteers to:

9:30 am - 11:45 am: Set up food service

11:45 am - 2:00 pm: Serve food

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Help clean up

If your talent lies in service rather than culinary arts let us know how you'd like to help. See you at the race. Thank You!
