Due to Saturday's 100% forecast of rain, Huntersville Christmas is moving from Saturday night to Sunday (12/15) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. We've worked with our vendors and everything will go off similar to what was planned for Saturday night. Spread the word and spend Sunday afternoon with us!
Detour on Old Statesville Rd (NC 115) and Huntersville-Concord Road due to Huntersville Christmas
During the event, the Town will temporarily close Old Statesville Rd (NC115) between Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd and Gilead Rd.
Also, Huntersville-Concord Road will be closed between Church Street and Old Statesville Road from 12:30-7:00p.m. on Sunday, December 15th during the event.
Portions of Maxwell Street will also be closed during the festivities.
Motorists not attending Huntersville Christmas are urged to avoid the downtown area. Police will be present at key locations to reduce motorist confusion.
Northbound Old Statesville Rd (NC115) will be detoured by turning left on Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd, then turning right on the ramp to Statesville Rd (US21), then turning right on Gilead Rd, then turning left on Old Statesville Rd (NC115).
Southbound Old Statesville Rd (NC115) will be detoured by turning right on Gilead Rd, then turning left on Statesville Rd (US21), then turning right at the ramp for Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd, then right onto Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd, then right on Old Statesville Rd (NC115).
A detour from Gilead Road for those heading East can be found by turning left on Old Statesville Road (NC115), right on N. Main St., left on N. Church Street and left on Huntersville-Concord Rd. For those heading west on Huntersville-Concord Rd, the detour route is found by turning right onto N. Church Street and right on to N. Main St, then left on Old Statesville Rd (NC115), then right on Gilead Rd.
