From: City of FairfieldThe City of Fairfield, in partnership with Bay North Church, will open a temporary warming center for up to 25 individuals starting tomorrow, December 15, and through the weekend. The center will provide shelter for homeless residents, and those without heat as the cold weather continues.
Warming Center Location:
Bay North Church
2100 Pennsylvania Avenue (between Tabor and Brighton)
Operating hours: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Thursday, December 15 through Sunday, December 18.
For illness prevention, masks will be required and provided.
The center may extend its hours of operation if excessive temperatures continue.
The Fairfield Police Homeless Intervention Team (HIT) will be distributing flyers in English and Spanish to homeless individuals within city limits.
