11th Annual Anderson Township Independence Day Parade

This year's celebration of our country's 239th birthday will begin at 10AM. It is expected 100+ entries and 10,000+ spectators will enjoyed the parade, car show and festivities. The Parade Committee is up and running. We would like to thank all the past volunteers, participants, judges and others who worked tirelessly to make this summertime tradition possible.

Anderson Township Independence Day Parade Committee is holding a photo contest. Judges will choose one photo taken during the Parade and following festivities that best exemplify this year's theme, "Hometown Pride". Email photos to anderson4th@hotmail.com by 4pm Wednesday July 8th. Entries must include the name, phone number and e-mail address in the email.

The winner will receive a $50 gift card from the Anderson Towne Center Kroger and the winning photo will be included in a future edition of Anderson Insights, the township's newsletter. Feel free to contact Sally DiSabatino at (513) 484-4845 with any questions.

The parade kicks off at the new time of 10 a.m. but still includes the same great fun and festivities during and after the parade.

Beechmont Avenue closes at 9:30 a.m. the day of the parade to give spectators time to find their way to a great spot for viewing. After the parade, enjoy the annual festival at Anderson Towne Center. Of course, there will be plenty to eat and lots of cold drinks to break the heat summer's heat!
