Pleasantville, NY -- Once again the Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC) has earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management practices and commitment to accountability and transparency. Charity Navigator is the nation’s largest and most-utilized independent evaluator of nonprofit organizations.
Receiving four out of a possible four stars confirms that the JBFC adheres to good governance and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way. Only 10 percent of the charities rated have received at least three consecutive 4-stars, a strong indication that the JBFC outperforms most other charities in America.
“We are very pleased to once again receive a 4-star rating. This award demonstrates to our donors that we take our fiduciary and governance responsibilities very seriously,” said JBFC Executive Director Stephen Apkon.
