JOHNSTOWN, PA The Greater Johnstown (PA) Chapter #1130 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) met for their Christmas luncheon meeting on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Asiago's Restaurant party room, at the Inclined Plane. The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association is one of America's oldest and largest associations, with the mission of protecting the earned rights and benefits of America's active and retired federal workers. The largest federal employee/retiree organization, NARFE represents the retirement interests of nearly five million current and future federal annuitants, spouses and survivors.
William Hurlee of Lewis Run, PA, Pennsylvania Federation 2nd Vice President, installed the officers of the NARFE chapter at the Christmas lunch, as follows:
Larry Palecek of Ebensburg - Chapter President; Bill Rozier of Johnstown- First Vice President; Judy Inboden of Johnstown, Second Vice President; Joseph Antal of Ebensburg - Secretary; and Pat Petrell of Johnstown - Treasurer.
The Johnstown NARFE chapter is open to any current active or retired Federal employees or their spouses, in the Johnstown region to attend upcoming meetings, generally held on the third Wednesday of the month at Asiago's Restaurant, at the top of the Incline Plane in Westmont. Meetings include a paid lunch and begin at 11:30 AM. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 11:30 am. The first year's dues are $40 for National NARFE membership and include the annual Chapter dues of $10. Members receive a wealth of information and support on issues relevant to both active and retired federal employees and through our National headquarters, have a voice in Washington D.C.
