With the close of the 2022 International Fall Festival, KMC Philly's weekly schedule returns to normal with our Tuesday and Wednesday 7pm evening classes.

TUESDAY NIGHT MEDITATION

7-8pm • $15 • Free for members
with Meditation Teacher, Julie Francisco 

Learn Buddhist meditations and practices that help to reduce your anxiety, increase your mental peace, and improve your relationships. Classes include guided meditations, teachings and time for questions.

Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT
GUIDED MEDITATION

7-7:30pm • $5 • Free for members
with Meditation Teacher, Fred Graumuller 

Regular meditation practice is an important part of caring for ourselves and others. Come enjoy gentle guided meditations to calm your body and mind. Our experienced teachers will guide you as you learn to focus your mind. Then, gradually your distractions will subside and you’ll experience a sense of inner peace and relaxation. Your mind will feel lucid, spacious and refreshed!

DAY RETREAT
Bringing Love to the Holiday Table

During this inspiring day retreat, we will learn meditations on the powerful and stable minds of equanimity, loving kindness and compassion. 

By developing a mind that cares for everyone, we allow ourself to experience deep happiness and inner freedom from anger, depression and negativity. We also become a loving, calm presence in the lives of others. This retreat includes practical teachings and straightforward guided meditations suited for beginners and more experienced practitioners alike.

Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments provided between sessions.

A String and a Prayer:
Mala Making Workshop

2 - 5pm • $40 (materials included)
with Meditation Teacher, Eve Miller

A mala is a traditional Buddhist rosary used to recite mantras.

In this course you will learn about the practice of mantra recitation and the traditional Buddhist techniques for making and using a mala. For Buddhist practitioners, a mala is very precious and meaningful, through regular use, it becomes a blessed and powerful object.

All materials for this course will be provided, including a selection of beads, threading and tassel materials. You will come away with a completed mala and the knowledge to use it to benefit yourself and others. Malas also make excellent gifts!

For students who wish to deepen their study of Buddha’s teachings and meditation, now is a great time to join Foundation Program. Free Trial Class!

Foundation Program students have the opportunity to study Buddhist texts in great detail with an experienced teacher, engage in one on one and group discussion, and ask questions.

The Foundation Program is studying the text, The New Eight Steps to Happiness, by Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Everyone is welcome.
