Centerville MA -- The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is pleased to announce that Kevin M. Howard has been promoted to the position of President & CEO of the designated regional arts non-profit agency for Barnstable County. The Arts Foundation's mission is to support promote and strengthen the creative economy through its programs, marketing and Foundation.
According to Mark Skala, Chairman of the AFCC Board, "Kevin's new role is consistent with the Arts Foundation's strategic plan to grow the organization and continue to explore new ways that it can more effectively achieve its critical mission."
In the past 20 years the AFCC has distributed more than $1M in grants, produced the largest cultural programs in the region in Pops by the Sea and Pops in the Park and are about to launch ArtsCapeCod, a new comprehensive web site that will more effectively market the cultural sector, including through an on-line multi-venue box office..
"This is an exciting time in the Arts Foundation's evolution and I am pleased to be working with a visionary Board that sees the true potential in our value to the community. I am honored to step into this new role", said Kevin Howard, the AFCC's new President & CEO.
