Keyren Burgess, of Scotch Plains, NJ, will appear on Westfield Community Players' (WCP) stage in The Dixie Swim Club...a Jones, Wooten, Hope comedy-drama. Ms. Burgess will portray Jeri Neal McFeeley--the ditzy ray of sunshine in the group, Jeri Neal is perky, naive and always sees the positive side of everything. Having been a nun for years, she has been protected from the seamier side of life and while she appears to be predictable on the surface, Jeri Neal makes life choices that surprise and amaze even her closest friends.
Ms. Burgess is making her Westfield Community Players debut after a 10 year absence from the stage. Keyren studied with NYC's acclaimed Atlantic Theater Company and HB Studio in her spare time. Favorite past roles include Laura in Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie, Paulina in Chekov's The Seagull and Solange in Genet's The Maids.
The Dixie Swim Club is directed by Wanda S. Maragni and produced by JoAnne Lemenille.
The Dixie Swim Club opens Jan. 5, 2013 and continues Jan. 12, 18, 19 at 8pm and a matinee on Jan. 13, 2013 at 3pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through WCP Box Office at 908.232.1221 or on-line at: http://www.westfieldcommunityplayers.org/WCPticketrequest.html
