Centerville, MA - The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is excited to announce that Kristin Meunier Howard will sing the Star-Spangled Banner with the Cape Symphony to open the 25th Anniversary Cape Cod Five Pops in the Park concert.

A resident of Chatham, Kristin is currently a Vocal Performance Major at Boston University's College of Fine Arts, where she is on the Dean's List and is a student of Professor Lynn Eustis. She has performed in the World Youth Honors Choir at Interlochen Arts Academy and is currently a member of the Boston University Symphonic Chorus which has performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra at Symphony Hall. She is no stranger to singing the National Anthem, on this its 200th anniversary, having sung it with The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra at last summer's Pops by the Sea concert in Hyannis. Kristin has also been a featured soprano soloist at St Andrew's by the Sea in Hyannisport, Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwichport and with the We Are The Men choir.

According to Arts Foundation President & CEO Kevin Howard, "In this collaboration with the Cape Symphony, we are happy to feature Lower Cape talent who have been shaped by our local school programs and the teachers who have invested so much in training."

Proceeds from the August 23rd concert enable the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod to fulfill its mission to support and promote arts and culture on Cape Cod. In addition to its role as Barnstable County's regional arts agency, the Arts Foundation awards grants and scholarships while supporting artistic, cultural, and educational programs throughout Cape Cod. Pops in the Park proceeds will allow expansion of AFCC's work around the Lower and Outer Cape.
