L.A. Theatre Works recording of ‘Pipeline’ garners 2023 Audie Award

The Audio Publishers Association has presented the 2023 Audie Award for Audio Drama to L.A. Theatre Works for the company’s recording of Pipeline by Dominique Morisseau.

Pipeline is Morisseau’s strikingly powerful work about a mother’s hopes for her son and their clash with an educational system that seems to be rigged against him.

The L.A. Theatre Works recording was directed by Larry Powell and stars Sophina BrownDemetrius GrosseSharon LawrenceX MayoUyoata Udi and Karen Malina White.

The Audie Awards is the premier awards program in the United States recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment.
