As one of the nation’s foremost classical music artist retreats, the Lake George Music Festival upholds a mission to advance music, re-imagine the concert experience, and build audiences for the 21st century through artistic integrity and innovation.

Festival Schedule:

August 9th – 10am – Special “pre-festival” Open Rehearsal with Time for Three and the Festival Orchestra. Witness first hand how these world-class artists prepare for our opening night performance. This event is only open to festival pass holders, donors, and host families.

August 10th – 7:30 pm – OPENING NIGHT at the Shepard Park Amphitheater in downtown Lake George, featuring Time for Three and the Lake George Music Festival Orchestra. Roger Kalia conducts. Presented in partnership with the Lake George Arts Project.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Bring your own blanket, picnic, and chair and enjoy a magical evening on Lake George.

August 11th – 7:30 pm – a full chamber music performance featuring LGMF artists in residence. Program: Robert Schumann Piano Quintet Op.44, Eric Ewazen Trio for Trumpet, Violin, and Piano, and music by Michael Laurello.

This performance is included with all festival passes. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20.

August 12th – 6:30pm – Composer’s Panel #1. Join us for an engaging panel discussion with our many composers in residence. Led by LGMF Composer’s Institute Director, Alyssa Weinberg. FREE with pass or single ticket.

August 12th – 7:30 pm – a full chamber music performance featuring LGMF artists in residence. Program: Ludwig van Beethoven String Quartet No. 14 in c # minor, Op. 131, Samuel Coolidge Taylor Piano Quintet Op.1, and music by Nina C. Young and Wang Jie.

This performance is included with all festival passes. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20.

August 13th – 7:30 pm – a full chamber music performance featuring LGMF artists in residence. Program: Franz Schubert, Octet in F major, D.803, Maurice Ravel Introduction et Allegro.

August 14th – 1 pm – Piano Mania! A festival favorite returns! Hear the Lake George Music Festival pianists perform solo, 4-hand, 6-hand, and 8-hand piano repertoire. A fun program for everyone! Program to feature music by Chopin, Ligeti, Scriabin, Debussy, and Ginastera.

This performance is included with all festival passes. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20.

August 15th – 6:30pm – Composer’s Panel#2. Join us for an engaging panel discussion with our many composers in residence. Led by LGMF Composer’s Institute Director, Alyssa Weinberg. FREE with pass or single ticket.

August 15th – 7:30 pm – a full chamber music performance featuring LGMF artists in residence. Program: Johannes Brahms Piano Quintet, Op. 34, Gerald Cohen Preludes and Debka for Trombone and String Quartet, music by Anna Pidgorna, and Alyssa Weinberg’s “Ember” performed by arx duo.

This performance is included with all festival passes. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20.

August 16th – 5pm – Happy Hour with Music Director and Conductor, Roger Kalia. Join our maestro and special musical and composer guests as they discuss and answer your questions about this season’s orchestra repertoire. This event is only open to festival pass holders, donors, and host families. Location: Fort William Henry Hotel Tankard Tavern. Cash bar available.

August 16th – 7:30 pm – a full chamber music performance featuring LGMF artists in residence. Program: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Quintet in E-flat major, K.452, Florence Price Quintet in A minor for Piano and Strings, and music by Molly Herron.

This performance is included with all festival passes. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20.

August 17th – 7:30pm – a full chamber music performance featuring LGMF artists in residence. Program: P.I. Tchaikovsky Souvenir de Florence, Op.70, Pascal Le Boeuf Obliquely Wrecked for Piano, Violin, and Cello, music by Lauren Bernofsky, and a world premiere performance by Che Buford performed by violinist Barbora Kolarova.

August 18th – 1 pm – The Rhythm Method performs new compositions by the students of the Lake George Music Festival Composer’s Institute.

August 18th – 7:30 pm – Final Symphony Orchestra Concert – Program: Bela Bartok Romanian Folk Dances, Sergei Rachmaninoff Symphonic Dances, and the world premiere performance of Pascal Le Boeuf’s new triple concerto for arx duo, Barbora Kolá?ová, and the Lake George Music Festival Symphony Orchestra. Roger Kalia conducts.

August 18th – 9:30pm – Final After Party Reception. Immediately following the final concert, join us in the Fort William Henry Hotel’s Tankard Tavern for some food and drink and to celebrate a wonderful season! This event is only open to festival pass holders, donors, and host families.

Festival Passes are now on sale for $150 per person. Pass holders receive guaranteed admission to ALL festival performances.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: 3-Day Pass for $49. Three day pass holders receive guaranteed admission to ANY THREE 2022 performances. Choosing which concerts you use your pass for in advance is NOT required.

NEW for 2022! Introducing the LGMF “PLUS” Pass add on for $52. Save while visiting Lake George’s award winning cultural and scenic attractions August 10-18, 2022. All the benefits of a regular LGMF festival pass or 3-Day pass, PLUS: Admission to the Hyde Collection in Glens Falls, admission to the Sembrich Museum in Bolton Landing, a wine tasting session at The Adirondack Winery, and a scenic cruise aboard the motor vessel Mohican + complimentary admission to both the Courthouse Art Gallery and The Courthouse Museum in Lake George.

Pass holders enjoy some great perks! All pass holders receive: free admission to private open rehearsals, pre-concert talks, an exclusive happy hour with festival music director, Roger Kalia, and a final after party with all musicians. Pass holders also receive a souvenir printed festival magazine and a festival T-shirt!

Single concert tickets will be sold at the door for $20 ($30 for the final orchestra concert). The spacious and open interior of our new venue, The Carriage House provides a surplus of seating. The risk of individual concerts selling out is extremely low.

Affordable and convenient parking is available for all concerts and events at the Fort William Henry Hotel Conference Center paved parking lot for $10 per vehicle. A free shuttle will be available to assist disabled guests with the 2 minute walk from the Conference Center parking lot to the Carriage House. Patrons arriving in a wheelchair may be dropped off at the entrance to the Carriage House before proceeding to park at the Conference Center lot.

A LGMF Parking Pass is available for $50 and will allow one specific vehicle unlimited access to the paved parking lot at the Fort William Henry Conference Center.  Pass is valid August 10-18 for all festival events and concerts.

FREE PARKING is always available on a number of Village side streets as well as in the Sacred Heart Church lot on Mohican Street, a short walk away.
