Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement in response to Hurricane Fiona’s devastating impact on Puerto Rico.  

“My heart goes out to the millions of people in Puerto Rico who have experienced a total blackout across the island due to Hurricane Fiona,” said Larson. “President Biden has issued a federal emergency disaster declaration, allowing the Federal Emergency Response Agency to supplement response efforts.  My office will work with community members in the First District whose families are affected by Hurricane Fiona to ensure we are doing everything we can for those on the island and those displaced because of the storm.”
