Starting in February, the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria will offer dance lessons in Salsa and Tango.
On five Tuesday evenings, starting February 21, Ed and Bev Caballero will teach two Salsa dance classes back to back. Beginners learn the basic steps in Introductory Salsa, 6:30-7:25. Those ready for the next level can take Intermediate Salsa 7:30-8:25. Students must register no later than February 14. Cost per person is $45-nonmembers and $35-members.
In four Sunday evening lessons, starting February 26, Dominique Alexandre and Adrian Olteanu will teach Argentine Tango in two classes back to back. Beginners learn the basic steps in Beginning Tango 7-7:55. Advanced students are welcome to take Intermediate Tango 8:30-8:55. Students must register no later than February 18. Cost per person is $35-nonmembers and $25-members.
Visit www.peoriacac.org and choose 'Education' to learn more about these classes. For the beginning classes, no prior dance experience is required. Registering with a partner is not required but is encouraged. Members of the Contemporary Art Center receive a discount. Classes are held on the 2nd floor of the facility.
