LANDENBERG, Aug. 1, 2013
Kate FitzGerald-Wilks of Timeless Design in Landenberg, Pa was chosen as one of 30 design professionals to participate in the Oxford Arts Alliance 2013 Decorator Show House. The historic home, built by Alfred E. and Julia duPont Bissell, is located at 1106 Hopeton Rd, Wilmington, DE. It is currently owned by Frank and Marcia Balotti. The Show House will be open to the public Tuesdays- Sundays, October 4- November 3, 2013.
Although Ms. FitzGerald-Wilks is primarily an interior decorator, she has chosen to design two outdoor spaces for this year’s show house; a covered and uncovered patio. Think National Geographic on safari meets the Four Seasons and you will get an idea of the luxury rustic hybrid that Kate is planning for her covered living area. On the adjoining patio, a dining table and separate conversation area will call to mind the casual elegance of outdoor living with a Napa Valley feel. FitzGerald- Wilks is very excited about this opportunity. She says, “In designing for my clients I take their lives and preferences into account. This has been fun, creating a sanctuary for my imaginary client.”
FitzGerald-Wilks founded Timeless Design in 2001 and moved it to Landenberg, PA in 2004. Since then Timeless Design has steadily become a sought-after creator of warm, livable, exciting interiors. The decorator’s signature weaving of pattern, color and texture, in fabulous balance, has brought out the best in residences throughout Wilmington, Delaware and Delaware beach areas.
