Local Real Estate Team Helps Families In Need

Peak Properties Group, a Denver real estate team, finished out 2013 by participating in Denver Rescue Mission's 22nd annual Adopt A Family program. The team adopted ten local families in need during the holidays and provided them with a holiday meal and gifts.

"With our team's core value of stepping forward and giving back, we wanted to help those in the Denver area by providing them with a meal to eat together as a family and gifts to make memories with," said Alex Tooke, owner and broker at Peak Properties Group. "The holiday season can often be difficult for families going through financial struggles. We wanted to step forward and make this holiday season one to remember for these families."

Through the Adopt A Family program, Peak Properties Group delivered meals and gifts to ten local families, a total of 55 people. The team spent time with each family unwrapping gifts and enjoying conversation. A total of 101 gifts and 10 meals were provided; all of which were made possible by donations from the Denver community, New American Funding, All Points Home Inspection, Skoops Ice Cream and More, and Peak Properties Group.

"Ending 2013 by touching the lives of ten families in need was an incredible experience. We are so thankful for our partners and the Denver community who gave so generously," said Derek Weber, co-founder and team lead at Peak Properties Group. "It was great to see our agents working together to make this happen in our community. We are excited to continue to help the Denver community and look forward to what 2014 holds for our team."
