Long Island Arts Alliance extends its congratulations to all recipients of the 2024 Scholar-Artist Awards.
?
The Scholar-Artist Awards program has been established by Long Island Arts Alliance to recognize exceptional high school-aged artists through monthly profiles that are featured in Newsday and on Newsday.com. These exceptional students, who are nominated by their schools, are recognized for their excellence in academics and the arts across Long Island.

Scholar-Artists are chosen from five disciplines: Visual Arts, Music, Theater, Dance, and Media Arts. The Scholar-Artist selection committees pick one monthly award recipient from Nassau and one from Suffolk for ten consecutive months during the school year, leading to twenty students receiving Awards of Distinction. Furthermore, an additional twenty students receive an Award of Merit at a year-end LIAA recognition event.

The Long Island Scholar-Artist Awards program is proud to serve as a pathway for connecting award recipients with Long Island's nationally recognized universities. Every year, Scholar-Artist program winners become eligible for early scholarship consideration by higher education partners.

Look for our Scholar-Artists each month in Newsday and on Newsday.com!
