This is a classic example of early 20th Century technology at its finest. This is a player grand piano built by Marshall & Wendell, and it is equipped with the AMPICO player system. The AMPICO player system was an advanced pneumatically operated player mechanism which allowed a player piano to play with real expression and dynamics, sounding just like a real person at the keyboard! This piano is made of Honduras Mahogany wood. A fully restored piano like this is currently selling for $48,000.
