McCarthy Houston Division Names New Director of Planning and Scheduling

HOUSTON May 21, 2015 The Houston Division of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., a Texas builder for 36 years, recently hired Swamy Yeleswarapu as the new director of planning and scheduling. He will be responsible for the overall management of the Texas scheduling and planning department, providing support and guidance to proposal and management teams in planning, developing, updating and analyzing project schedules.

"His extensive and varied range of experience in the commercial construction industry will be a great asset to the development of our future project planning and will strengthen our team's position as a competitive contractor in the Houston metropolitan area."  

With more than 25 years of experience working in the United States, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Yeleswarapu has worked on projects ranging from $10 million to more than $500 million. Prior to joining McCarthy, Yeleswarapu served as lead planner/senior project controls manager at Worley Parsons where he set up engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) schedules, generated planned curves, performed resource leveling and forecasted project performance, and calculated the Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC).

Yeleswarapu received a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) in Pilani, India and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).  He has also been an active member of the Authority for Total Cost Management (AACE) since 2011.
