HER FLOWERS, THE BIRDS AND THE BUTTERFLIES.
Back in 1952, Lola and her husband moved in to their new home. Starting a garden was at the top of her list then, and enjoying the beautiful garden she created remains at the top of her list now.
"I spend a lot of time in my backyard. I feed the birds and the bees. I love my flowers. The color in my garden keeps the pink in my cheeks."
When Lola lost her balance and fell on Easter Sunday a few years ago, it was Meals on Wheels that helped her regain independence and enabled her to keep living in her home.
Between the birds, the butterflies and her Meals on Wheels volunteers, Lola isn't feeling so lonely these days.
You are the reason thousands of seniors like Lola are able to stay in their own homes.
