The 2022 Medina County Fair Honors Ensembles performed in concert at noon in the Community Center at the Fairgrounds on Thursday, August 4. Approximately 170 students participated in the ensembles.

According to Michael McClintock, coordinator of the ensembles, "It was such a great feeling to be back making music together for the first time in two years since our absence due to COVID. The staff members were very complimentary of the students saying they were well-behaved, respectful, and fun to work with. Students rose to the challenge of preparing a wide variety of music, in a range of difficulty, with which they were presented.”

The Elementary Honors Choir featured the following vocal soloists:

Mama Don’t Allow

Violet Baltic (Cloverleaf Elementary), Brooklyn Dickerhoof (Cloverleaf Elementary), Sophia Schaefer (Cloverleaf Elementary), and Jenna Sims (Highland Granger Elementary)

Seize the Day (From “Newsies”)

Alex Camargo (Highland Granger Elementary), McKenna Felton (Highland Hinckley Elementary), Eleanor Fiala (Highland Hinckley Elementary), Lilly Holmes (Highland Hinckley Elementary), Jake Miller (Highland Granger Elementary), and Faith Stiggins (Highland Sharon Elementary)

Featured vocal soloists in the Youth Honors Choir were the following:

Ben Miller (Highland High School)

Pamela Haberkorn and Alison MacDonald conducted the elementary and youth choirs; Emily Miller served as choir accompanist. Renee Strong and Louis Rispoli conducted the honors band. Valerie Roman conducted the orchestra. The honors ensembles were under the supervision of Michael McClintock, Fair Honors Ensembles Coordinator for the Educational Service Center of Medina County.

Rehearsal facilities were provided by the Medina United Methodist Church. Sound equipment was provided by the Medina County Agricultural Society Board. Event sponsors are as follows:
