On Small Business Saturday, Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava invites the community to support local, small business owners and entrepreneurs through the following statement:

“Miami-Dade County’s small businesses are the cornerstone of our local economy and employ more than half of our community’s workforce – and even in the face of a devastating pandemic, their hard work and perseverance kept moving Miami-Dade forward.

Since taking office a year ago, one of my top priorities has been investing in our small businesses to rebound and recover from the crisis caused by the pandemic. That’s why we created Strive305, a Mayor’s office initiative led by Small Business Innovation Manager Danilo Vargas, to support start-up and scale-up businesses with robust training and coaching and create physical and virtual workspace and learning hubs countywide.

I encourage Miami-Dade residents to support small businesses and entrepreneurs this Small Business Saturday to keep our local economy active and growing especially during this holiday season. Today and every day, I invite you to think big and shop small.”
