Don’t miss the chance to see our salon wall of abstract works on paper—an installation that exemplifies the diversity of our presentation and program. Executed between 1950 and 1982, these twelve works engage a variety of media and techniques; from the wax-resist watercolors of Alfonso Ossorio’s pivotal Victorias Drawings to Beauford Delaney’s transcendent translation of light into gestural swirls of gouache and Norman Lewis’ atmospheric hazes of oil paint structured by symbolically loaded ovoid forms, there is something for everyone in this arresting group of midcentury gems.
