Support Microscope's 2023-24 Event Series!
And with it, artists working in film, video, sound, performance & digital art

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Supporters,

As we launch the 14th season of our Event Series, your help is vital!

Membership is now open and we hope you will  consider becoming a Member, Friend, Patron, or otherwise contributing to our efforts by September 30th

Since 2010, our Event Series has included screenings, live sound, expanded cinema, performance art, readings, artist talks and other events made for a live setting.

Exciting upcoming shows for the 2023-24 Season include: Good Symptoms Showcase; Experimental Barbie films; the debut of collective 16mm film Le Ratoir spearheaded by Katherine Bauer and Joyce Lainé; a screening of videos by Lauren Kelley; Slide performances by Tomonari Nishikawa; Films by Sasha Waters Freyer; video works by Nina Sobell; and more from our emerging artist series YES! and those culled from our recent Open Call.

Our new Member tote bags with an image from Karmari Carter’s magnetic tape installation "Intravenous” (2022) are in production!

Your support is crucial to the Series and donations of any amount go a long way! Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law through the Series' Fiscal Sponsor Fractured Atlas.

Members at all levels receive special discounts on admission to all events, as well as our new tote bag, among other benefits!

Become a 2022-23 Member, Dual Member, Friend and more HERE!

The emphasis of the Event Series has been and continues to be on presenting and discussing a wide-ranging and inclusive series of works by: emerging artists through our series YES, Open Calls, and Open Screen nights; live soundperformance and other more ephemeral art forms such as expanded cinemacurrent and risk-taking pieces by more established artists; and rarely seen historical works.

During the 2023-24 season, we will continue to offer online screenings and live streams of many onsite events for those unable to attend in person and to welcome outside curatorial proposals as well as collaborations with other institutions and organizations.

Thank you and see you soon at the gallery!
