Throckmorton Theatre’s Summer Youth Ensemble Debuts Drought- and Nature-Themed Production! – July 29-31

For Throckmorton Theatre founder Lucy Mercer, the unexpected quiet moments of running a largely shuttered live arts venue provided the time to conceive of “The Water Spirit,” a new family musical play that explores what happens to the smallest creatures – a mouse and a rat, in this case – when drought hits a small town named Happy Valley. Full Story. 

Renowned Marin Girls Chorus Comes to MV, Southern Marin
The breadth and depth of a key sector of our arts community – kid-centric arts organizations – far outweighs the rest in terms of number of participants. Now we can add the Marin Girls Chorus to the mix – it’s coming to Mill Valley. They performed at the legendary Carnegie Hall in June.

Ceramicist Julems Returns to Poet and/the Bench – July 30
Judith Lemmens returns to Mill Valley on July 30 (2-5pm), bringing nearly 50 new ceramic pieces to Poet and/the Bench, the nearly five-year-old Poet and/the Bench lifestyle store and jewelry atelier space on the block of Throckmorton Ave. that includes the Cinemark Sequoia movie theater.

Linda Colnett Brings Her ‘Magical Mystical Trees’ to MV Chamber in August – First Tuesday Artwalk is Aug. 2nd
Throughout August, Colnett is set to show her work on the walls of the MV Chamber’s space at 85 Throckmorton Ave., including a reception on August 2nd as part of the MV Arts Commission’s First Tuesday Artwalk (5:30-7:30pm). Full Story.
