The Mill Valley Chamber is excited to announce that the Mill Valley Music Festival will return in May 2023! To commemorate the news, a limited number of ‘The Earliest of Birds’ two-day GA tickets are now available for purchase online via MillValleyMusicFest.com, starting at just $199. Pick them up while you can!

Following our successful inaugural event launch last spring that sold out in advance with more than 6,000 attendees from across Northern California enjoying performances from acts like Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Lettuce, Liz Cooper, Los Amigos Invisibles, and Bay Area's own La Doña, we have expanded the event to offer a two-day weekend celebration full of music, art, and local culture beginning Saturday, May 13 through Sunday, May 14. Oct. 29th marks the official, long-rumored Mill Valley debut of Bob’s Donuts, which has been doling out dynamite donuts for 62 years and is one of the Bay Area’s treasured institutions. Bob’s is located at 252 Almonte, the former longtime home of the Bamboo Hut. FULL STORY.

The Mill Valley Chamber recommends taking a measured approach on the next steps by creating the Plaza extension but not rushing into delineating the extension's specific use immediately, so as to let the community see the space, hear proposals and visualize what might make the most sense long-term. Roger Carlon, ‘Godfather’ of Martial Arts in Marin, dies at 76
On any night of the week for nearly four decades, the respectful battle cry of Ooooos Sensei, could be heard echoing through the halls of West America Tae Kwon Do located on the Edna Maguire Campus in Mill Valley.
Last month, the cry was silenced for 7 minutes, one for each of Grand Master Roger Carlon’s degrees, to honor the memory with a final bow of respect to the man many referred to as the ‘Godfather of Martial Arts in Marin. Carlon passed away on September 25th while vacationing in Mexico. FULL STORY.

Seager Gray Showcases Kristin Garneau’s ‘Portals’ – Nov. 1-22
When Garneau was 11 years old, her parents, who lived in Lafayette, were invited to the Mountain Play on Mount Tam in Mill Valley. “I remember sitting there on the top of that mountain on the grass. I could smell the grass and feel the coolness of the fog and I thought to myself, “This is it – this is heaven. I knew that at 11.” FULL STORY.

Emebet Korn’s Desta Gallery’s latest exhibit, “Abstraction & Figuration in Dialogue,” is a group exhibition featuring works by Jane Burton, Robert Cantor, Katheryn Holt, Carolyn Meyer, Silvia Poloto, & Sandra Speidel, on view through December 1. Marin City is set to have an extended, much-deserved opportunity to celebrate its rich history and deep cultural impact with a series of events that kick off Aug. 20 and run through early November.
