Summer Reading Program at the Mystic & Noank Library

Join us this summer for the Mystic & Noank Library's Summer Reading Program to promote educational enrichment and to encourage readers of all ages. This year's program theme is Beyond the Beaten Path, and will feature a number of related programs for kids & families, teens, and adults that you can find on the Library's website. The Summer Reading Program runs from Tuesday, June 21 to Saturday, August 6. Visit the Library or call to find more information about signing up!

Preschoolers Program

Preschoolers can sign up for our summer reading program, pick up their folder and track the number of books they read together with a caregiver. Return your summer reading log to the Children's Room by August 6th and collect your prizes for reading this summer. All participants who turn in their reading log will be entered into our grand prize drawing. Join us as well for our ongoing family programs  including storytimes, petting zoos, and outdoor yoga classes.

Kids Program

Kids can sign up for our summer reading program, pick up their folders and complete the challenges in their passport throughout the summer and check them off and collect small prizes as you go. Return your summer reading passport to the Children's Room by August 6th. All participants who turn in their passports will be entered into our grand prize drawing. Join us as well for our ongoing kids programs  including baking workshops, craft workshops, magicians and more!

Teens Program

Teens can sign up for our summer reading program, pick up their folders, and complete the teen BINGO card and return it to the Children's Room by August 6th. All participants who turn in their BINGO card will be entered into our grand prize drawing. Join us as well for our ongoing teen programs including art classes, STEAM workshops, chess and more!

Adults Program

Adults of all ages can sign up for our summer reading program and record each book they read either in person at the circulation desk or online via our website. For every book entered, you have the chance to win a Mystic Chamber of Commerce Go Local gift card to be redeemed at a number of local businesses and restaurants. Join us as well for a number of summer programs including a local authors writing workshop series, hikes at local nature preserves, outdoor yoga, and a series of outdoor concerts.

The Mystic & Noank Library is open to all patrons! Face masks are encouraged for all patrons regardless of vaccination status. Patron computers are available first come first served.

Our operating hours for these services are from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Thursday and Friday, and Saturdays 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
