See their live performance at the Heroes Regional Park Library on Sunday, December 18, from 2-3 PM.

Reindeer and Shamanic Traditions

Do reindeer really fly? In northern shamanic traditions, reindeer are magical beings that take shamans on spirit flights. Classical headdresses seen on ancient shamanic drawings also feature the antlers of female reindeer. Join shamanic healer and Reiki master Carla Meeske on Monday, December 19, from 6:30-8 PM at the Foothills Library as she shares stories from the ancient times — and brings the magic alive again!

Childsplay Theatre Presents: Tomás and the Library Lady

Tomás loves stories! Papa Grande tells them to him todas las noches but soon Tomás knows all of them by heart. One day while his family is in Iowa picking crops, Tomás meets the Library Lady and nothing is ever the same again.

Come to the Foothills Library on Saturday, December 17, from 2-3 PM to enjoy this Childsplay Theatre production, based on the true story of Tomás Rivera and the book by Pat Mora. It's a celebration of reading, imagination and creativity for everyone!

This program is funded by a City of Glendale Performing Arts Grant.
