Books & Blues

The Books & Blues series of performances by local blues legends will not only entertain but will expand your knowledge about an important genre of American roots music.

Don't miss Bluesman Mike and the Blues Review Band on Sunday, November 27, from 2-4 PM at the Foothills Library. Formed out of a passion for the blues, this five-piece band returns to the roots of blues music.

Inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in 2021, Lucius Parr has a rich history of music and artist development in Arizona and abroad. The guitarist plays R&B, but his heart is in the blues. Lucius has been an innovator and mentor for many local blues artists, and he has played with several recording artists including The Charley Daniels Band. See him at the Main Library on Monday, November 28, from 6:30-7:30 PM.
