Aurora, CO - Running a proper house in the late 1800s was something a woman of that time aspired to do. Join us for a Mother’s Day Tea and discover the world of Mrs. Beeton’s Book of Household Management.
Written during the Victorian Era, Mrs. Beeton’s book is still an iconic book today and features over 900 recipes as well as in depth instructions on how to properly run a Victorian Era home. Museum director Jennifer Kuehner will talk about Mrs. Beeton’s most amusing tips and tricks, point out some of her best recipes and we’ll sample food that was new to stores in the 1890s.
