Jazz at Lincoln Center Presents: Herlin Riley

Friday, May 31 | 7-8:30 PM

Experience the full range of Riley’s energetic performance style — balancing moments of tender sweetness with those of driving, full-throttled intensity — as he and a combo of special guests transform the intimate galleries of MoCA into Connecticut’s hottest jazz club. Come as early as 6:30 PM to purchase a drink, check out our current exhibition, and settle in for an incredible evening of jazz standards and Riley’s original toe-tapping tunes.

Gallery Hours: 12-4 PM Thursdays - Sundays

It Will Go On examines the written word, tracing the complex ways in which text and by extension literature are utilized by contemporary artists.

Docent-Led Tours: Thursdays 1-2 PM, Fridays 1-2:30 PM, Saturdays 1-2:30 PM. Reserve here.

The Heida Hermanns International Music Competition

Applications due May 31

The 2024 Heida Hermanns International Music Competition, hosted by MoCA, is for talented pianists ages 18-35 worldwide to compete. We aim to showcase exceptional piano performances and promote music entrepreneurship in musicians. The competition includes an online preliminary round and an in-person final round where participants demonstrate their technical prowess, interpretive skills, and musical expression.

The Art of Mindfulness Workshop

Saturday, June 8 | 4-5:30 PM

This meditative workshop is designed to be inclusive and welcoming for participants of all backgrounds and experience levels. In this program, participants embark on a journey of self-awareness and bond with others through practicing mindfulness during a gallery tour at MoCA, culminating in a sound bath meditation experience led by Lisa Pak of Hummingbird Healing Center.
