Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance have awarded Weaver & Associates, Inc. a 2023 Make More Happen Award for its volunteerism with NeuroTalent Works, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building neurodiverse workplaces and transitioning individuals with autism, traumatic brain injuries and other cognitive challenges into meaningful employment at corporations. The award includes an initial donation of $5,000 for NeuroTalent Works, which can be doubled to $10,000 just by having community supporters vote online.

The NeuroTalent Works and Weaver & Associates community story is highlighted on the official Make More Happen microsite at www.agentgiving.com/Weaver-and-Associates, where supporters can vote to help the team reach their donation goal. If the featured story receives a mix of at least 500 votes and comments from the community, the $5,000 donation will be raised to $10,000.

NeuroTalent Works will use this donation to support its Talent Readiness Program that offers free services to prepare and equip neurodivergent job candidates to secure gainful corporate employment. This includes self-advocacy training, mock interviews and quarterly peer networking groups.

Weaver & Associates worked with NeuroTalent Works to launch the “(Neuro)diversity in Insurance” training and hiring program this year. The program helps train the Neurodiverse community for entry level insurance processing roles with the help of four volunteers from Weaver & Associates every month. Weaver’s entire team has been trained to build an inclusive workplace for neurodiversity and is a proud partner of NeuroTalent Works to provide job opportunities for the community.

Throughout 2023, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 37 independent agents nationwide for a Make More Happen Award donating up to $370,000 to the nonprofits they support. Agencies became eligible for the award by submitting an application and photos demonstrating their commitment to a specific nonprofit.
