New Group Exercise Schedule Launching September 5

Thank you to everyone who completed our group exercise survey. We really enjoyed hearing your insight and requests. As a result of the feedback we heard, we are excited to announce our updated group exercise schedule launching Tuesday, September 5!

New Classes:

 - Core +
 - Metabolic Conditioning
 - Mindfulness & Meditation
 - Zone HIIT
 - Zone Strength Lower Body
 - Zone Strength Upper Body

In addition to brand-new classes, be on the lookout for new class times with your favorite instructors!

Our Group Exercise Director, Tetiana, loves working with our members to continuously create the best group exercise experience possible. Always feel free to stop by or reach out to her with any questions or requests at email.

Childcare Spots Available
Rainbow Station Preschool & Kids Unlimited After-School Programs

Spots are available in the 3's and 4's classrooms in our Rainbow Station Preschool Program! Those interested can contact Cathy McClure, Childcare Director, by email.

Spots are available in our Kids Unlimited after-school program for grades K-6! Those interested can contact Kristen Godin, Assistant Childcare Director, by email.

In addition to our new programs this fall, the Y also offers additional Red Cross certification courses for ages 11-18+!

Junior Lifeguarding (Ages 11-14)

Red Cross Babysitting (Ages 11-15)

 - Dates: 9/30 & 11/15

Lifeguarding Recertification (Ages 15+)

 - Dates: 9/25 & 11/7

Red Cross Wilderness first Aid (Ages 15+)

Red Cross First Aid, CPR, & AED Training for Adults (Ages 18+)

 - Dates: 9/8, 9/29, 10/5, 10/20, 11/18, & 11/21

Bouncing Bears Open Gym Returns This Fall!
Available for Ages 4 and Under (Pre-K)

Beginning Tuesday, September 5!

Days & Times:
Tuesdays: 5:30-6:30 PM
Wednesdays: 12:15-1:00 PM
Thursdays: 3:15-4:00 PM
Fridays: 11:30 AM-12:15 PM, 12:15-1:00 PM
Saturdays: 2:00-2:45 PM, 2:45-3:30 PM

Please note: For the safety of all, Open Gym is limited to 12 children on a first come, first-served basis. Parents are required stay and supervise play.

Location: Kid Zone

Fees:
Free with a New Canaan YMCA Family Membership or when enrolled in a Bouncing Bears gymnastics class; $20 for all others.

Non-members and local Y reciprocity members may not register for Open Gym unless they purchase a day pass in addition to paying admission.

2023 Grandparents’ Day Celebration
Friday, September 15; 3:30-4:30 PM

Join us for a child's afternoon tea party at this special event open to all grandparents and their grandchildren, ages 3 – Grade 4! This is a free event, open to the community. *Registration required.

Location: Wagner Room

Kids Club On-Site Babysitting
Available for Ages 6 Months or Older

Kids Club drop-in babysitting is available for Y members while they use our facility. Children must be 6 months or older and able to sit independently.

Fall Location:
Kids Club will be located in the Y's Kids Unlimited space on the main level.

Days & Hours:
Monday-Friday; 8:15 AM-12:15 PM

Fees:
Kids Club is free for those with a current Family Membership and $15.00/90 minutes for all other members.
