What you need to know and how to get started:

All current New Canaan YMCA Members will need to set up a new online account to manage their membership and register online.

Please review the steps below to set up your new online account.

Step 1:

Ensure you have a valid email connected to your New Canaan YMCA membership account. If you do not have a valid email, are unsure, or would like to change your primary email address, please call our Front Desk at 203-966-4528 and we'll help you out!

Step 2:

Navigate to the new registration system. Visit www.newcanaanymca.org/registration or click the button below to set up your new account.

Step 3:

Log in to your account. Enter the email or phone number associated with your New Canaan YMCA membership and select "Forgot your password?". You must then select "Email me a reset password link" and follow the prompt in your email to reset your password.

Step 4:

Enter your new password. Upon creating and entering your new password, you will be ready to search and register online for programs and activities at the Y!

We're here to help!

We know that learning a new system can sometimes be challenging. Please call us during business hours with any questions at 203-966-4528 and we will be happy to help you out!

Water Safety Awareness Day Event

Free Community Event

This year, we will be celebrating Water Safety Awareness Day in June to splash in the warmer weather as we get ready for the summer season!

Splash around at Free Swim in the Valles Pool, learn hands-only CPR, try on a lifejacket, find out your YMCA swimming level, and join us for a conversation about safety around water!

Event is free and open the community. Walk-ins welcome!

*Free swim at the event will require online registration at www.newcanaanymca.org/registration.

Forese Family Pools Closure

Facility Update Through November 1

In partnership with the contractors who designed and installed the Forese Family pools, we have identified areas in need of repair and alterations to improve function, durability, and appearance. To address the issues we've identified, we must close the Forese Family Pool complex Now through November 1.

The Valles Pool will remain open during this time with adapted schedules to support our wide range of aquatic programming. We apologize for this inconvenience and greatly appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this time.

The below temporary changes are in effect as of May 1:

Valles Pool Access

Access to the Valles Pool is temporarily rerouted during this time. Please follow the directional signage from the wet hallway to access the Valles Pool. Access through the Forese Pool deck will be restored as work progresses.

Adult Lap, Therapy, and Free Swim

Swim times are available in the Valles Pool. These adapted schedules are available online or on the Y's app.

Youth Swim Lessons

Spring Session 2 is currently in progress.

Summer Swim Lessons at the Steve Benko Pool

Additional swim lessons will be available this summer at the Steve Benko Pool in Waveny Park. Click here to learn more.

Water Group Exercise Classes

All classes are running as scheduled in the Valles Pool.

Childcare and Summer Camps

Swim times are running as scheduled in the Valles Pool.

Competitive Teams

Teams are each dividing their time between the Valles Pool and off-site locations. Coaches have communicated with participants directly about team schedules.

Reciprocity

As a reminder, members may also take advantage of their reciprocity benefits with other local Ys including the Darien YMCA, Westport YMCA, and Wilton YMCA. We suggest checking schedules and/or calling prior to visiting another Y.

For questions about aquatic programming, please contact Matt Busse, Director of Aquatic Operations & Safety, by email.
