New Poll: Senate's Election Reform Bill More Popular Than House Version

Washington, D.C.—A new poll released today found broad support for legislation introduced by U.S. Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) that would reform and modernize the outdated Electoral Count Act of 1887

The Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act is backed by election law experts and organizations across the ideological spectrum and currently has 22 Senate co-sponsors – 11 Republicans and 11 Democrats.  The bill will receive a markup and be voted on by the Senate Rules Committee on Tuesday, September 27th.
