Newbery Medal-winning Author to Visit Hampton Memorial Library in Easley

Pickens County Library System is pleased to announce, Newbery Medal-winning author, Erin Entrada Kelly, will visit the Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library in Easley for an author talk, live drawing demonstration, and book signing. The event is in in collaboration with Fiction Addiction of Greenville and will be held on Wednesday, September 28 in the Meeting Room of the Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library at 5:30 pm.

Erin Entrada Kelly is one of the most celebrated children’s authors writing today. She received the 2018 Newbery Medal, given to the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children, for her book, Hello, Universe. In 2021, she received a Newbery Medal Honor for We Dream of Space, as well as many other honors. She is also the author and illustrator of the Maybe Maybe Marisol Rainey collection. The newest book of this series, Surely Surely Marisol Rainey, will be the topic of this author talk.

The public is invited to attend this author talk free of charge. A purchase of Surely Surely Marisol Rainey at the event is required to join the book-signing line. All attendees will also be entered in a raffle for one of five signed copies of the book generously donated by the Pickens County Library System’s Friends of the Library groups.
