The New Hampshire delegation today announced $24,955,036 in public transit funding for New Hampshire. The funding comes in part from the Hassan and Shaheen-negotiated bipartisan infrastructure law, which provides the largest investment in transit ever. Senator Hassan was a member of the bipartisan group negotiating transit funding.

“Public transportation must remain a reliable and affordable way for individuals to travel around their communities, and this funding is a critical investment in New Hampshire’s transit systems,” said Congressman Chris Pappas. “I helped pass legislation that delivered these federal funds back to New Hampshire, and I will continue to support smart investments into our public transportation.”

“We worked across the aisle to negotiate and pass into law the bipartisan infrastructure law because New Hampshire communities need significant funding to modernize and strengthen every aspect of our infrastructure,” said Senator Hassan. “I’m pleased to see additional funding coming to our state this year to expand public transit, which can help save commuters money, reduce traffic, and help more people get to work.
