Northvillians,

A quick update on the power situation in our community (also on the attached document for your convenience)

-We are getting updates and working w/ DTE on an ongoing basis since the Ash Wednesday Storm this week.

-Today is the first full day for the DTE TEAMS to reconnect everyone with power.

-Through yesterday, DTE was working on Safety issues for downed wires throughout the State… it was a very widespread ice storm..

-Over 3400 DTE techs are working with the goal of restoring power to the majority of folks in the next 24 hours.

-Close to 450,000 people in the state are still without power as of this morning.

-About 1500 in the Northville Community are still without power.

-Our Community Center (303 West Main St) is open today, Friday, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and then 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM tomorrow (Saturday) for those who need to get warm, charge up their phones (bring your cords), get free coffee and have someplace to go.

-The Northville Library (212 Cady St.) has been a secondary location during normal business hours (10AM-5PM Fri and Sat).

-FYI - Additional crews from other surrounding States have been added to the DTE Team this morning.

When you see our first responders and DPW Team, please thank them for all the work they have done over the past 48 hours. We had over 100 runs for our Fire Department & Police the first night of the storm. Our DPW TEAM have been chain sawing trees on our roads as well as grinding and removing fallen debris along our streets.

Please know that as I get additional info, I will share it with you. I thank you all for assisting those in need in our community. Through sharing your power, your homes, and your time, you are helping many weather this difficult period.

Keep that Northville Faith. We will get through this, together.
