Five Awards to Portland/Vancouver Local Restaurants in Wake of Covid-19 Impact

-- Northwest Wine & Food Society (NW&FS) 2021 Restaurant Reboot Campaign continues to offer needed funds and hope to local restaurants. Originally launched in 2020 in support of the food and beverage industry facing operational challenges of Covid-19 pandemic

On July 5, 2021 $5,000 awards were presented by the Northwest Wine & Food Society to the five restaurants listed above. These awards successfully complete the 5*5*5 award cycle of 2021 Restaurant Reboot Campaign. The 2021 Campaign built on awards NW&FS made to five restaurants in 2020, these grants provided financial support to local, community-loved restaurants in the Portland/Vancouver metro area.

Thanks to a grant from The Cowlitz Tribal Foundation, and donations from local supporters, NW&FS made 20 Restaurant Reboot grant awards in the amount of $85,000 over the past year.

The Mission of the NW&FS is to provide educational opportunities in the fermentation sciences, viticulture and culinary arts through scholarships, grants and endowments. However, we recognize the critical need of our local restaurants and want to make a difference with the Restaurant Reboot Program.Through grants, scholarships and endowments, NW&FS, a 501(c)3, has provided over $100,000 in support of Pacific Northwest educational opportunities for students in the fermentation sciences, viticulture, hospitality and culinary arts programs, as well as support for local restaurants.
