TOMS RIVER – Which species of our feathered friends flock to the Jersey Shore and the Pinelands from season to season each year? Join award-winning author-photographer Susan Puder and learn “All About Birds” at four Ocean County Library branches:

Spring and Summer Coastal Birding” explores the annual arrival of Red Knots, warblers and other shore birds to the Delaware Bayshore area for nesting and breeding, and describes the fall migration that starts each July.

“Winter Coastal Birding” sheds light on the thousands of sea ducks, loons, grebes, gulls, and other species that wing from far northern regions to New Jersey’s 127 miles of coastline during the cold months.

“Birds of the Pine Barrens” reveals the best places to spot waterfowl, shorebirds, raptors, and other species that rest, nest, and breed in the 1-million square-mile coastal plain that hosts migrating species along the Atlantic Flyway.
