O’FALLON, Mo. -- My King Studio of Dance students have been invited to perform in “Dancing in the Streets” Sept. 21 in St. Louis for the sixth straight year.
The annual St. Louis dance festival is scheduled from 1-8 p.m. in the Grand Center in downtown St. Louis. The students will perform “Shine On Us,” “Good to Go,” and “Stars and Stripes Forever,” three tap numbers choreographed by MKS teacher, Heather Louis, from this year’s Dance Concert “SHINE for Your King,” which highlighted ways that we can love others and share the light of Christ with the world. The dances will be performed around 3 p.m. on the Tap Stage.
The free “Dancing in the Streets” festival includes food, a wide variety of dance and bands, and performances on three stages. This year, more than 1,000 dancers will be performing over 24 different types of dance. Highlighted performance group “Project Bandaloop” will be featured for the 2nd time, after their debut performance at the first “Dancing in the Streets” back in 2007.
“Dancing in the Streets” is presented by the Grand Center, Inc., an organization dedicated to promoting the arts in St. Louis. The event is free and will be held at the Grand Center at 3526 Washington Ave. in St. Louis.
