Birdhouse Competition & Exhibit

Entries due March 13-18 at the Visitor Center front desk.

Grab your tools because it’s time to build birdhouses! All types of birdhouses are welcome, but they need to be sturdy and stand up to the weather. There is no entry fee, and all ages are encouraged to enter. Cash and gift prizes will be awarded.

This year we are celebrating 30 years of hosting this competition and exhibit!

Birdhouse Guidelines and Information

Wild Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at 3:45 pm

Come learn about the animals and ecology of our region. This 20-minute lesson is led by a teacher/naturalist, with time to explore afterwards.

2/22 — Snarl, Growl, Howl: Crazy Canids 3/1 — Birdhouse Bop

Reservations are not required. Please check in at the Visitor Center desk. Members are free and non-members pay regular admission: $5 adults, $3 children.

This Saturday! Winter’s Trail Scavenger Hunt

Saturday, February 25, 9 am - 4 pm All ages welcome No registration necessary

Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet at the Visitor Center front desk and take part in our self-guided scavenger hunt along the wintery trails.

$1 per sheet / free admission for ONC members / non-members will need to pay daily admission of $5 adults and $3 children

Cookies and Campfire Book Club
March 7 & 21, and April 4 & 18 at 5 pm For ages 18+

$20 ONC members, $25 non-members (includes all four sessions)

Join an ONC naturalist and other book worms every 1st and 3rd Tuesday in March and April for discussions of A Year In The Woods by Torbjørn Ekelund. Participants bring their own copy of the book. Hot beverages and treats are provided.
