Hooray! It's a Bluey Bash!

Join us September 16th at 11:00AM for an all ages event featuring everyone's favorite Blue Heeler family from down under. There will be games, activities and fun for everyone! All materials and a snack will be provided.  

Lamara Martin, retired UGA biologist, will be presenting a Friends of the Library Lunch and Learn event on September 11th at 12:00pm. Come learn how to make a variety of fermented foods and why they are considered a healthy addition to your diet. Drinks and a variety of fermented foods will be provided.

Afternoon Unwind continues! Come hang out and relax at your favorite library! FREE coffee (hot or iced), hot tea, and snacks every Friday afternoon in September from 3pm - 6pm.

Read a book or bring your tablet or laptop and unwind. Ahhh....

Kick off the weekend with some books and board games. Browse a variety of books picked just for you and then show off your skills (or luck) in a variety of board games! Games will be provided but feel free to bring in one of your own to show and play. ALL AGES are welcome for this event.

The Senior Class Remembers

Join us for a walk down memory lane as we talk about the fantastic display of photos, maps, books and items showcasing the historic school buildings of Oglethorpe County 100 years ago that will go up in our Community Room for the month of September. Curator Ashley Simpson will give a presentation and take time to talk with patrons about their stories and memories of growing up in the schools of Oglethorpe County. She will also speak at the Historic Oglethorpe meeting here at the library on Tuesday September 26th. This display and event is made possible by the Digital Atlas of Historic Oglethorpe County Project.
