February is Oregon Truffle Month

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek designated February as Oregon Truffle Month in a signed Proclamation dated February 6, 2024. The Oregon Truffle Festival submitted the application for the designation, which arrived just in time for the 2024 truffle season and our winter events.

The Proclamation is a big step in cementing protections for our forests and the habitat where Oregon truffles grow. Keeping forest ecosystems intact is important for the future of the Oregon truffle industry-as it is for carbon sequestration, oxygen generation, restoration of salmon spawning habitat, and wildlife migration corridors.

It also helps ensure more dog harvesting, helps protect landowners from poaching and trespassing, and promotes the use of the highest quality culinary truffles for celebrating Oregon’s world class truffles.

Thank you, Governor Kotek, for encouraging all Oregonians to join in honoring and celebrating Oregon truffles!

We made the shortlist again!

We’re honored to announce that the Oregon Truffle Festival has again been nominated for a USA TODAY’S 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Specialty Food Festival.

You can help us make it to #1 by voting through March 18. Thank you for your support, and share with your friends and truffle lovers please!
