Seasonal Urgent Care Center Opens in Orleans on July 2

Cape Cod Healthcare is opening a new seasonal urgent care center in Orleans this Saturday, July 2. Located at 42 Route 6A in the new Orleans Medical Building, the center will offer treatment for minor illnesses and injuries for residents, summer residents and visitors. Walk-in Covid-19 rapid testing, onsite X-ray and IV fluid administration also will be available at the facility. No appointments or referrals are necessary.
Open daily through the early fall from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and 8am-4pm on weekends. Click here for more information

90 Nights of Orleans Lights

The Orleans Improvement Association and the Department of Public Works have joined forces to create an illuminated Nightscape for Orleans this Summer from June 15th – September 15th

See the light in Orleans, on a leisurely walk along town streets illuminated by hundreds of white lights. Begin at Snow Library where the stately tree on the Library lawn dazzles the eye. From there, trees studded with lights line both sides of Main Street, beckoning you toward Parish Park where courtyard trees glow against the night sky.
Then continue on to Depot Square to view the newest "Giant" light sculpture, The Townie bicycle, which stands between two graceful dogwood trees dancing with lights. Funded by the Orleans Improvement Association in collaboration with the Orleans Cultural District, The Townie bicycle was created by artist Michael Magyar.
Wrap up your evening by strolling across the street to see the whimsical Artist Cottages.

Light Up in 2022

For 2021, the Orleans Improvement Association funded an expanded lighting display that linked the Village Green and Depot Square with lights in large trees along Main Street. OIA hired Dick Ficco, a professional lighting contractor, to supplement the OIA’s various “light sculptures” and snowflakes.
