Spring Concert Series: Stephanie James

Monday, June 13, 7 PM, Sutton Room

PIL welcomes back local singer-songwriter Stephanie James!

Peabody native and recording artist Stephanie James brings an evocative, fresh experience to the world of pop music. With a voice often described as “stunning” and “soulful”, Stephanie is a gifted storyteller who masterfully touches the hearts and souls of her fans. Both raw and refined musically, the songs solidify Stephanie’s status as a poised and powerful performer often likened to a revival of legendary Linda Ronstadt combined with modern day super talents Sara Bareilles and Kacey Musgraves. James released her debut album “Unbreakable” in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producers Jorel Corpus and Simone Torres. The album explores vulnerability, self-reliance, themes of growing up, and learning from the past. Stephanie is bi-coastal, spending much of her time in Los Angeles where she lives today, and the greater Boston area where she grew up.

Craft and Chat is a monthly opportunity to build a creative local community, for ages 13+.  Bring your handicraft project and make some new friends, meet your neighbors, or reconnect with old friends.

If you don't have a craft to bring, or want to start something and don't have the supplies, never fear - we have supplies and kits for you to use here at the library.

All skill levels and interests are welcome, and our facilitator Sarah can offer instruction on knitting, crochet, and cross stitch as well as basic sewing.

Registration is encouraged but not required. Craft & Chat is the first Tuesday of every month.

Once per quarter, Creative Circle turns into Online Open Mic Night!

Come share your songs, your stories, your poems, and your jokes at the library's Open Mic Night!

Whether you're a musician, storyteller, writer, comedian, or other type of entertainer, the mic is yours. Performers can sign up on a first-come-first-serve basis at the beginning of the meeting. And if performing's really not your thing, that's okay. Come hang out, drink coffee (bring your own!), and support some inspiring local talent.

All ages welcome!

Hosted by Molly Pinto Madigan
