Performance - First Impressions: A Pride And Prejudice Musical

Arts and Entertainment

February 20, 2014

From: Aronoff Center For The Arts

First Impressions, A Pride and Prejudice Musical is a new musical by Lindsay Warren Baker and Amanda Jacobs based on the beloved Jane Austen novel. This version of the story has Jane Austen herself as one of the characters, as she tries to decide if she can improve on her previously rejected First Impressions. Baker and Jacobs have cleverly allowed Austen to not only reconsider the choices she made for her characters, but her presence allows the composers to move the plot along neatly through Austen's own words. The story telling of this musical is worthy of Jane Austen and the songs are delightful.

This musical is not yet available for general production, but the composers and their agents Brett Adams, Ltd. have graciously allowed Cincinnati Christian Schools to produce the show. Come immerse yourself once again (or for the first time) in the lives of Elizabeth and Darcy, with a glimpse into the mind of the woman who gave them life.
