Drug Addiction is an increasing problem for our young people. In Ohio, more people die of unintentional drug overdoses than in automobile accidents. And the problem is only getting worse and it's happening in communities just like ours. It's too easy to say "this won't happen to my kid." But kids just like ours good students & good kids are faced with this issue on a daily basis.
It is never too early to start talking to your children. Children whose parents talk to them about drugs are 50% less likely to use!
Start Talking! is a program, put together by the State of Ohio. It will provide information about prevention and behaviors to watch for and a first hand experience of a family affected by addiction.
Please join us and learn how to be part of the solution for your children and for our community.
This program is recommended for parents and caretakers of all-aged children (adults only, please).
Sponsored by Madeira City Schools and all 3 Madeira Schools' PTOs.
