It’s the final week of Black History Month. This month, we honor the unique contributions of Black individuals who shaped Colorado and recognize the discrimination, prejudice, and challenges they faced. Read more about unique Colorado stories of Black History via our blog.

Friday, February 24 
DMV2GO 
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Old Town Library 

This program is focused on helping underserved Coloradans get the DMV services they need. Services offered include first-time Colorado Driver's License or ID card holders, out-of-state transfers, license and permit renewals, and more. 

Saturday, February 25 
Sandwich Generation Caregiver Support Group 
10:00 AM @ Harmony Library 

Caring for parents or older family members with dementia, while juggling our own responsibilities can be overwhelming. This monthly support group provides time to come together in person and virtually to release stress, share experiences, give and receive encouragement, and feel understood. Join this program online or in-person at Harmony Library.

Read Diverse Books with our ESL Community 
12:00 PM @ Harmony Library 

Add cultural diversity and personal inspiration to your reading list through recommendations from our library's ESL community. English learners participating in the ESL Mentoring Service will share books they have chosen to read related to their home country.

Winter Home Heating Assistance 
1:00 PM @ Old Town Library 

Work with the City of Fort Collins' Utilities Affordability Programs and learn how to apply for LEAP (Low-income Energy Assistance Program) and auto-enrollment into the City's Income Qualified Assistance Program (IQAP).

Typical libraries offer print books and digital eBooks for check out, but the Human Library® allows participants - or Readers - to borrow a human Book and engage in conversations about their unique stories. Register here.

Hands-On Tech: Computer Comfort

Practice the basics of using a computer in this class using the Library's laptops. We’ll guide you through the fundamentals, including how to turn it on, use the mouse, and connect to the internet. Equipment provided, you may choose to bring your own device. Registration Required.

Composer Talks

Dr. Dawn Grapes will discuss the life and times of the composers featured at the Fort Collins Symphony's March 4 concert. The composers are Fela Wowande, Aaron Jay Kernis, Benjamin Britten, and Antonia Vivaldi.

Founded in FoCo is a free business and financial literacy event aimed at supporting small businesses, solopreneurs, and the startup community! Build your own schedule for this awesome event from March 1 - March 3 via the Founded in FoCo website.

Craft and a Movie!

In “Daily Abstract Painting Prompts: Working Collaboratively,” you’ll explore making multi-media abstract art with gentle prompts from artists Pam and Jen, who switch off regularly in this daily painting challenge. Whether you have a partner to paint with or are working by yourself, they encourage losing preciousness, experimenting, playing and growing.
